Time: 2008.01.01. - 00:00

People in modern society attach great importance to the examination and testing followed by evaluation and assessment. However, these are very delicate and complicated elements of the educational process as well as the other parts of our lives. Everyone desires to be evaluated objectively fairly, and last but not least efficiently. Therefore different models and systems for knowledge-level testing are developed.

This paper deals with the one of these models, specifically the model of computer knowledge-level testing in programming and algorithm development. The model was elaborated and implemented at the Department of Informatics, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra. In the paper, the first part of the model is presented – computer knowledge-level testing in Programming 1. It deals with the requirements, thematic specifications of the content and also the successfulness of the model in education.
